We are in regular contact with the City of San Diego Park + Recreation Department to determine the current maintenance and infrastructure needs of the pool facility.
These projects are typically paid for using community donations, city funds, and other regional, state, and federal funding sources. It has been made known to us that the more the community shows support and concern, city officials will prioritize fulfilling maintenance needs.
The City of San Diego Parks & Recreation Department received a $2M grant award for capital improvement projects at the South Clairemont Recreation Center and Park. It is our understanding that the grant award can be used anywhere within the park boundary. The Clairemont Pool is within the park boundary. The community’s help is needed to reach out to our elected officials and community representatives to prioritize this state funding for pool infrastructure renovations in the FY 2025 budget process.
